A welded metal which has a composition containing specific amounts of Ni, Cr, Nb, C, Si, Mn, P, S, Cu, Mo, V and N, with the balance made up of Fe and unavoidable impurities and satisfying formula (A) is formed, by buildup welding, on the surface of a base material which has a composition containing specific amounts of C, Cr, Mo, V, Nb, Si, Mn, P, S, Cu, Ni and N, with the balance made up of Fe and unavoidable impurities. At this time, the Cr contents and the C contents of the base material and the welded metal are set to satisfy formula (B). In this connection, the atomic symbols in parentheses represent the contents (mass%) of the respective elements. [Cr] + [Mo] + 1.5 × [Si] + 0.5 × [Nb] + 2.5 × [Mn] - [0.2] × [Ni] + 30 × [C] ≤ 21.5 (A) ([Crw]/[Crm]) × ([Cm]/[Cw]) ≤ 15 (B) |
