This battery panel (10) comprises an enclosure (11) in which shelf panels (22) are disposed at a plurality of levels spaced in the vertical direction, a battery pack (30) being placed on each of the shelf panels (22). Each battery pack (30) comprises a battery case (31) housing a plurality of battery cells (32), and a flow inlet (42) is provided on the front portion of the battery case (31). A common exhaust air passage (25) which connects to an exhaust port (18) is provided between the back portion of the battery pack (30) and a back surface wall (13). A plurality of levels of air-inlet openings (20) are provided on a front door (12) so as to face the front portion of each battery case (31). The air-inlet openings (20) are formed in the front door (12) in such a manner that the effective open surface area of the air-inlet openings at the bottommost level is maximum and the effective open surface of the air-inlet openings decreases gradually from level to level from the air-inlet openings at the bottommost level to those at the topmost level.
