A lithium-ion cell provided with a negative electrode in which the state of charge at a potential of 0.1 V in relation to the lithium potential is 60% or above, and a positive electrode containing a lithium-containing composite metal oxide, the capacity ratio between the positive electrode and the negative electrode (negative electrode capacity/positive electrode capacity) is 1 or greater and less than 1.2. The above lithium ion cell, in which the lithium-containing composite metal oxide contains a layered lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt composite oxide (NMC) and a spinel-type lithium manganese oxide (sp-Mn).
