The present embodiment relates to a method for producing graphite comprising the steps of: providing an inorganic source for forming graphite; providing an organic source which includes polymer resin particles; forming an organic-inorganic mixture by mixing the inorganic source and the organic source; and heat-treating the organic-inorganic mixture. The production method according to the present embodiment can produce a graphite powder or sheet having improved mechanical performance and thermal properties.
