Disclosed is an automatic meter reader having a wireless communication function and a temperature and pressure compensation function, which can improve efficiency of data management and data transmission and enhance reliability of power management. The automatic meter reader comprises: a temperature/pressure measuring unit for receiving signals of the detected temperature/pressure of gas in a gas pipe to calculate a temperature value and a pressure value of the gas; a gas flow measuring unit for receiving signals of the detected volume of the gas provided into the gas pipe to calculate a volume value of the gas; a gas volume converting unit for compensating the volume value according to the temperature value and the pressure value of the gas to calculate a compensated gas volume value; a data management unit for storing the compensated gas volume value; and a wireless communication unit for wirelessly transmitting the compensated gas volume value calculated by the gas volume converting unit, or the compensated gas volume value stored in the data management unit.
