Abstract The present invention relates to a device for a seat support suitable for a riding animal or pack animal comprising a right multi-linked lug arrangement and a left multi-linked lug arrangement, each comprising a first link-section pivotally connected to a second link-section by a first pivoting device, the first pivoting device having a first pivot axis allowing the first link section and the second link section to pivot towards each other within a first pivot plane which penetrates the first pivot axis substantially perpendicular, and the last link-section of the right multi-linked lug arrangement and the last link-section of the left multi-linked lug arrangement comprise free ends.
