PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that achieves higher brightness without increasing a frame region.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: a plurality of light source packages each having a light-emitting unit that emits light; a light guide plate in which the light emitting from the light source package enters an entrance surface having a height and a width and exits from an exit surface; and a liquid crystal display panel that controls, by each pixel, transmission of the light exiting from the exit surface by controlling alignment of a liquid crystal composition. The light source package has long sides opposing to each other and short sides opposing to each other, in a field of view from the exiting direction of the light, and the plurality of light source packages are arranged in a width direction with the respective long sides adjoining to each other. |
