PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respectively calculate a parameter about the movement of a heart muscle and a parameter about the shape of the heart muscle with high accuracy on the basis of an image of the heart muscle of a plurality of time phases.SOLUTION: A medical image processor according to an embodiment includes each means. Tracking means uses a movement vector to track the contour of each time phase from an initial contour. Evaluation means calculates the evaluation value of the contour in each time phase, and calculates a total evaluation value of contours of all time phases on the basis of the evaluation value of each time phase. Correction means performs re-execution after correcting the initial contour so as to optimize a contour to be tracked in the case that the total evaluation value is a bad value. Superimposition display means superimposingly displays the contour on an image of a heart muscle in the case that the total evaluation value is a good value. Calculation means calculates and displays a parameter about the shape of the heart muscle and a parameter about the movement of the heart muscle on the basis of the superimposedly displayed contour of each time phase. |
