PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform printing quickly even when conveyance quantity is set small for printing on an end area of a printing medium.SOLUTION: A terminal device supplies print data to a printer and causes the printer to print an object image. The print data contains data for printing on an end area DEA of a sheet S and data for printing on a central area CAB. For printing on the end area DEA, the sheet S is conveyed in sequence by a conveyance quantity smaller than a reference conveyance quantity over four passes by a zone TA1, and during four times of main scanning after four times of conveyance, the number of nozzles in the used nozzle group is kept at n and the used nozzle group shifts upstream in sub-scanning direction. For printing on the central area CAB, the sheet S is conveyed by the reference quantity over seven passes by a zone TB, and during seven times of main scanning after seven times of conveyance, the number of nozzles in the used nozzle group is kept at n but the used nozzle group does not shift. |
