The present invention relates to an IEC 61850 information-based agent system for an intelligent system management by a digital substation and an operation method therefor. To this end, an operating system-side agent apparatus for sharing switch information used for automatic recovery of a digital substation between an operating system and an intelligent electronic device (IED) in the digital substation of the present invention comprises: a request unit for requesting switch information from an intelligent electronic device-side agent apparatus mounted in an intelligent electronic device (IED); and a communication unit for receiving the switch information collected from the intelligent electronic device-side agent apparatus, wherein the operating system-side agent apparatus is configured in a module type and mounted on the operating system.
