Provided are a method and device for producing sodium borohydride, having excellent energy efficiency and production efficiency. Sodium metaborate and powdered aluminum are reacted in a hydrogen atmosphere while being rolled and ground by a grinding medium, and sodium borohydride is obtained, using a production device (20) provided with a cylindrical reaction container (21), a cylindrical reaction part (22) in which sodium metaborate as a first starting material (1) and powdered aluminum are accommodated together with a grinding medium (2), and a hydrogen introduction part (23) for introducing hydrogen gas directly to the reaction part (22) or to the reaction part (22) via the reaction container (21). |
