PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which can more correctly identify the tip position of a puncture needle.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises: a transmission and reception part which transmits an ultrasonic wave to a subject and receives a reflection wave of the ultrasonic wave; a processing part which processes received reflection wave data to generate an image relevant to a two-dimensional structure including the depth direction of the subject; a display control part which displays the generated image relevant to the two-dimensional structure on a display part; a position acquisition part which acquires the tip estimation position of a puncture needle implanted into the subject; and a transmission control part which adjusts at least one of the focal distance, opening size and acoustic ray density of the ultrasonic wave in accordance with the acquired tip estimation position to make the transmission and reception part perform the transmission operation. |
