PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remaining life calculation method capable of accurately estimating deterioration of an insulation material, and further to provide a deterioration diagnosis method, a deterioration diagnostic device and a program.SOLUTION: A deterioration diagnosis method has a calculation process and a diagnostic process. The calculation process calculates an inclination of a first straight line obtained by connecting an initial value of insulation resistance of an insulation material and an estimated insulation resistance value of the insulation material at the time of diagnosis in a plane where time and the insulation resistance of the insulation material are defined as coordinate axes. The diagnostic process calculates a remaining life by a period from the time of diagnosis until a second straight line passing through the estimated insulation resistance value at the time of diagnosis and having an inclination obtained by changing the inclination of the first straight line in response to a degree of deterioration of the insulation material reaches a threshold value of the insulation resistance.
