PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing wall with a diagonal member/deformation absorption device in which steel usage can be reduced while being superior in energy absorption performance, also an opening portion can be provided without causing performance degradation and disadvantage in construction, and vertical frame member buckling properties caused by using different types of bearing elements can simply be prevented.SOLUTION: A bearing wall is partitioned in multiple partition layers a, b arranged vertically, and is provided with a bearing element in each partition layer. The bearing element of a part of the partition layer b comprises a pair of diagonal members 8 disposed in an inverted V-shape or V-shape to each other. A deformation absorption device 9 for absorbing deformation of the partition layer b is provided in mutual approach side edges of the pair of diagonal members 8. The deformation absorption device 9 comprises a pair of vertically parallel plates 22, a plate-like web 23 for absorption of energy, and upper and lower horizontal plates 24. The web 23 is inclined to the wall surface and the parallel plates 22. |
