PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal and a connection structure which further ensure a conductive function by excellently suppressing dissimilar metal corrosion generated between a core wire of a covered wire and a terminal structured of different kinds of metals.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a terminal 11 which has a wire barrel 23 and an insulation barrel 25 crimped to a covered wire 12. This terminal also has a plating part 23 as a metal coated part and a resin coated part 40 on a terminal base material of the wire barrel 23. The resin coated part 40 is provided from the end of a plating part 23m so that a core wire 14 of the covered wire 12 and the terminal base material do not come into direct contact with each other, and is covered at an area ratio of 20% or less with respect to the total surface area of the terminal base material.
