PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope system which is excellent in hygiene, and also with which even when the endoscope operator is away from the processor of the electronic endoscope and both hands of the operator are occupied by operating the electronic endoscope, the operator is able to cause the electronic endoscope to perform an operation desired by the operator at a timing intended by the operator, and also to provide a head-gesture detecting remote-control device to be used for the electronic endoscope.SOLUTION: The head-gesture detecting remote-control device is demountably worn on the head of the endoscope operator. The head-gesture detecting remote-control device, when worn on the head of the endoscope operator, detects a head gesture of the endoscope operator, and in response to the detection result, causes an operation of at least one of the electronic endoscope, the processor of the electronic endoscope, and a monitor device to be executed. |
