A performance information management system comprises a target device having, as monitored targets, a plurality of constituent elements, and a management computer which manages the target device. The performance information management system manages performance information of the target device using the management computer. The target device is capable of acquiring the performance information for each monitored target. For each monitored target, the management computer allocates an initial storage domain, the capacity of which differs for each monitored target, and when the management computer attempts to store the performance information for the monitored target in the storage domain allocated to said monitored target, the management computer detects depletion of the storage domain, additionally allocates a continuous storage domain having a prescribed capacity to the monitored target having a depleted storage domain, and stores the performance information for the monitored target in the additionally allocated storage domain. |
