A clutch plate 20 is connected to its hub 10 by the usual cushioning springs R and by friction damping means including a C-shaped spring plate 40 rigidly connected at one end 40a to a lug fast with the clutch plate and fast at its other end (40b) (Fig. 3, not shown) with an annular member 50 which is friotionally connected to the hub 10 by washers (54, 55) (Fig. 5, not shown) which are loaded axially by Belleville springs (56). The clutch friction facings 26 are secured by rivets 27 to cushion members 24 which are riveted to the plate 20. The cushion members 24 space the friction facings yieldably from each other when the clutch is disengaged. |
