[Also in Division F2] The subject-matter of this Specification is substantially the same as that disclosed in Specification 1,223,179 except that (i) a clutch B is provided between the pump motor A and the pump C and (ii) the relay 75 for the control valve 70 in the injection circuit for supplying liquid to the seal faces 55, 56 during start-up is not a time-delay relay as in Specification 1,223,179 but is controlled by a pressuresensitive switch 83 so that the valve 70 is closed to discontinue supply of liquid when the pump pressure reaches a predetermined value. When the motor A is started the valve 70 is automatically opened and remains so until the clutch B is engaged and the pump pressure attains the predetermined value. |
