<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear box capable of achieving low cost, concerning the gear box having a drive shaft, a driven shaft, and a first case which rotatably supports at least one of the drive shaft and the driven shaft. <P>SOLUTION: The first case 100 has: a first side part 103 into which one end side of the drive shaft (first shaft) 301 is inserted, and in which a first U-shaped groove 107a for rotatably supporting one end side of the drive shaft 301 is formed; a second side part 105 which opposes the first side part 103, into which the other end side of the drive shaft 301 is inserted, and in which a second U-shaped groove 109a for rotatably supporting the other end side of the drive shaft 301 is formed; and a back part 115 which functions as a connecting part for connecting the first side part 103 and the second side part 105.
