The invention relates to a battery (1), in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising a housing (2). In the housing (2), there is at least one battery cell (4) for storing electrical energy. Furthermore, the battery (1) has a connecting element (7, 8) for electrically connecting the connection pole (5, 6) to the battery cell (4).
