<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state light source lighting device which can control a solid-state light source appropriately even in a circumstance in which a power supply causes momentary drop or instantaneous power failure. <P>SOLUTION: The solid-state light source lighting device comprises at least one switching circuit 3 connected between a power supply 1 and a solid-state light source 2, a circuit 4 which detects drop or interruption of the power supply 1, and a control circuit 5 which can perform lighting control of the solid-state light source 2 by controlling the switching circuit 3 in response to an external signal s.
