<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin barrier function recovery promoting device and a beauty treatment method using the device. <P>SOLUTION: The device for promoting the recovery of the skin barrier function includes: a first metal applied to the skin of a patient who is required to promote the recovery of the skin barrier function; a second metal and/or a metal compound having a work function lower than the work function of the first metal; a rectifying device for directly or indirectly connecting the metals.
