A composition comprises a major amount of a polybutadiene having at least 60% of its units in the cis configuration and a compatible reinforcing agent which is polyvinyl chloride or a thermoplastic high molecular weight polymer of Bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. The composition is suitable for making a solid unitary golf-ball and in which case is further compounded with polyethylene, filler, peroxide initiator, and monomeric cross-linking agent, e.g. butylene dimethacrylate.
