<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which operability and visibility relating to focusing are improved. <P>SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus, each edge component indicating a focusing degree is extracted in the horizontal direction of a video imaged by an imager, a waveform display image indicating a relation between the horizontal position and level of the extracted edge component is generated, the imaged video and the generated waveform display image are displayed together, a plurality of areas are specified for the displayed video, and the positional relations of the specified plurality of areas are determined. The waveform display image is generated such that portions where the edge components extracted in the plurality of areas in the waveform display image are reflected and portions where edge components extracted in areas other than the plurality of areas can be visually distinguished, and the display position of the waveform display image is determined such that the correspondence between the display positions of the portions where the edge components extracted in the plurality of areas in the waveform display image are reflected and the positions of the plurality of areas can be visually distinguished. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
