PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install an external application in an image processor without adverse effects on an existing application. SOLUTION: A listener registration part 25 registers a listener who receives a service request from an MFP block 101. A proxy 104 receives the service request from the MFP block 101, and supplies a call to a servant 20 of the listener. When the user instructs "Scan to Email", and inputs a destination address, a scan part 11 scans a document, and calls up an Email send request with a scanned image, the destination address, and other as arguments (x1). The proxy 104 receives the send request in proxy, and sends it to the servant 20 which is registered as the listener (x2). The servant 20 supplies mail sending together with the corresponding arguments to an external application for mail 21 (x3), and the external application for mail 21 sends the corresponding mail to the SMTP server (x4).
