PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel which prevents luminance reduction and achieves efficiency maximization while optimizing the width ratio of a bus electrode to the width of a barrier rib and maintaining reflective luminance low. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel includes: a first substrate 10 and a second substrate 20 remotely positioned to face each other; an address electrode 11 formed in the first substrate by extending in a first direction; a barrier rib 16 to define a discharge cell 17 corresponding to the address electrode; a phosphor layer 19 formed in the discharge cell; and a first electrode 31 and a second electrode 32 formed in the second substrate by respectively extending in a second direction crossing the first direction corresponding to the discharge cell. The first electrode and the second electrodes include bus electrodes 31b and 32b formed by extending in the second direction corresponding to the barrier rib. The barrier rib includes a wide width portion having a first width W1 formed at a side of the first substrate and a narrow width portion having a second width W2 narrower than the first width W1 formed at a side of the second substrate, and the width W3 of the bus electrode is narrower than the first width W1 and is same as the second width or wider than the second width.
