PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for supporting a piston for an engine, which is advantageous for downsizing and weight saving. SOLUTION: The structure for supporting a piston for an engine comprises a piston 10 having a crown 2 including a piston top 1 and having seal grooves 3, a piston 10 with a pair of pin bosses 8 formed below the piston top 1 and having a pair of pin holes 9 spaced apart in the axial direction, an approximately cylindrical piston pin 20 inserted into the pin holes 9, and a connecting rod 40 coupling a crankshaft and the piston 10 to each other and supporting the piston 10 via the piston pin 20 at its small end 41, and the piston pin 20 is inserted into a hole 42 of the connecting rod of the small end 41 in the state of positioning the small end 41 between the pin bosses 8. In the structure for supporting a piston for engine, the piston pin 20 is arranged so as to overlap partially the crown 2 in axial view and is axially divided into at least two divided pins 21, 25.
