PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the temperature of a paper non-passing part from rising and also to shorten rising time by setting Curie temperature. SOLUTION: The frequency of a current to be applied to a coil in a stage, in which the temperature of an image heating member is raised to a setup temperature near to the Curie temperature, is made higher than the frequency thereof in a stage in which an image on recording material is heated.
