PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To favorably cool the surrounding area of an inlet valve, an inlet port, an exhaust valve and an exhaust port. SOLUTION: The exhaust port 11 and an exhaust collector part 14 are formed inside a cylinder head 3. A main channel of cooling water flowing around the intake valve 8 and the intake port 9 crosswise toward one side wall surface 12 of the cylinder head 3 after flowing in the surrounding area of the exhaust valve 10 inside the cylinder head 3 from the inside of a cylinder block 2 and flowing out inside the cylinder block is formed in the inside of an engine main body 1. A part of the cooling water flowing in around the exhaust valve 10 is made to flow crosswise toward the other side wall surface 13 of the cylinder head 3 through the surrounding area of the exhaust port 11, and then this cooling water is made to flow toward a cooling water outlet 28 along the other side wall surface 13.
