PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely remove a residue on an intermediate transfer body. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder comprises: an image formation part which forms an image on an intermediate transfer body by performing ink discharge from an inkjet head; an image transfer part which transfers the image formed on the intermediate transfer body to a recording medium; a cleaning part which comprises an endless cleaning belt whose surface is composed of a porous body and removes an after-transfer residue on the intermediate transfer body by bringing the cleaning belt into contact with the surface of the intermediate transfer body; and a conveying control part which performs conveying control of the intermediate transfer body and the cleaning belt in such a manner that a velocity difference arises between the conveying speed of the intermediate transfer body and the cleaning belt.
