PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive portable tool capable of giving no uncomfortable feeling to a user when a hand gripping a tool body is hit by a protective cover and preventing a cutting object material from being scratched when the cutting object material or the like is hit by the protective cover. SOLUTION: A cutter (portable tool) 1 comprises a driving source built in a cutter body (tool body) 2, a rotary blade 3 rotated/driven by the driving source, a protection cover 4 covering a part of a periphery of the rotary blade 3, and a dust collection cover 12 for sucking and recovering dusts from a suction opening on a part of the periphery of the rotary blade 3.
