PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide structure of a butt welding part for improving the strength of a weld zone when butting a plurality of members and welding the butt part. SOLUTION: In the structure of the butt welding part of plates, the surface on one side in the vicinity of the butt part of a pair of members to be welded is made a recessed surface recessed in a plate thickness direction and the surface on the opposite side is made a projected surface projected in the thickness direction and the weld zone is provided only on the recessed surface. The recessed surface and the projected surface can be relative with respect to the member to be welded and, when the members are circular, the surface can be a flat surface.
