PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding apparatus of a lattice-like structure capable of performing the welding which cannot be executed by the manual welding by the automatic welding, and remotely, reliably and safely performing the automatic fillet welding on the inner side of a long and narrow lattice with high accuracy by the automatic control. SOLUTION: The welding apparatus performs the fillet welding of an assembly forming a narrow and long lattice-like space on the inner side of the lattice-like space to form a lattice-like structure, and comprises a workpiece supporting device for supporting the assembly from its outer peripheral side, a manipulator which is inserted in the lattice-like space of the assembly supported by the workpiece supporting device from its end in the longitudinal direction, and advancible/retractable along the same direction, a welding torch provided on the insertion fore end side of the manipulator, and a remotely-controlled operating device for remotely operating the welding torch and the manipulator.
