<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation film with high transparency and excellent wavelength dispersion property in the form of a single layer, capable of providing a specified retardation to light in a wide band, having very high adhesion to another material, capable of achieving optical characteristics as a specific negative A in negative birefringence property, and capable of also making the wavelength dispersion property of a birefringence inverse dispersion. <P>SOLUTION: The retardation film is produced by stretching a film comprising a norbornene ring-opening copolymer, wherein the norbornene ring-opening copolymer contains two different structural units and a content ratio of a structural unit in which the configuration of a phenyl group is an exo-type configuration in one structural unit is ≥90 mol%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
