<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a component sucked by a suction nozzle on a component disposal tray in two dimensions with proper spatial efficiency, even if an image processing error occurs halfway in image processing for the component sucked by the suction nozzle, or even when the direction of the component sucked by the suction nozzle is tilted. <P>SOLUTION: The component sucked by the suction nozzle is imaged by a camera and image-processed, a component (hereinafter "a component to be disposed of") to which an image processing error occurs is image-processed to decide the outward appearance and direction of the component to be disposed of, and the free space of the component disposal tray (remaining space where the component to be disposed of can be mounted) is decided.
