<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector having proper operability, and adaptable to an FPC and an FFC. <P>SOLUTION: The shape of a side surface of a terminal 14 has a substantially S-shaped form, and is provided with a linear part on the lower side; a lower contact part 13 is arranged on the left side of a lower contact 4; a rising part 9 is arranged at the root of the lower contact 4; and a press-in part 5 is arranged generally at the center part of the rising part 9. A drive object contact 3, provided with an upper contact part 12 on the side facing the lower contact 13 in the upper part of the rising part 9, is arranged in parallel with the lower contact 4; a drive part 2 connected by the upper contact part 12 is arranged substantially in parallel with the drive object contact 3; and a drive force action part 8 is arranged at an end of the drive part 2. A short-circuit part 6 and a soldering part 7 are arranged substantially in parallel with each other, in a part of the rising part 9 facing the lower contact 4. The terminal 14 is connected to a housing 1 via the press-in part 5, and a floating preventing fitting 17 is arranged, being fixed to right and left ends of the housing 1.
