The invention relates to a method of adapting the format of a multimedia scene, represented in the form of an initial scene graph, for the displaying of this scene on a terminal, comprising steps, implemented in a server, of: extracting the initial scene graph from the multimedia scene, coding the initial scene graph in a modified format of scene graph to obtain a modified scene graph, reading the initial scene graph to detect and extract interactivity nodes and image nodes, coding a content of an address field of the interactivity nodes in a precompiled format for representing an interactivity node so as to obtain a modified content of an address field of the interactivity nodes.
