PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor controller restarting method for allowing data back-up, system restoration and quick restart. SOLUTION: The method comprises a first step of executing restarting operation with reference to a signal from a clock circuit installed in a monitor controller and a restarting set time stored in a volatile memory, a second step of collating a back-up list stored in the volatile memory with a time stamp in the volatile memory after restarting operation, and a third step of restoring the time stamp when insufficient, from a back-up file stored in a non-volatile memory.
