<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for allocating reference signal sequences capable of increasing the number of cyclic shift sequences per sector, while reducing the effect by interference between cells. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile communication system has a plurality of cells, and each of the plurality of cells includes a plurality of sectors. The sequence allocation method according to the present invention is used at the mobile communication system to allocate a pseudo orthogonal sequence used for a reference signal to a cell or a sector. A plurality of pseudo orthogonal sequences are allocated to a cell or a sector using a plurality of repetition patterns. The plurality of repetition patterns contain at least cell repetition patterns and sector repetition patterns, and any of the plurality of repetition patterns is applied, according to the kind of the reference signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
