<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a message transmission/reception system, in which a nearby person will not identify a transmitter of a message and further a user can instantly recognize whether or not the transmitter is a specific person. <P>SOLUTION: In the message transmission/reception system, each terminal device, when receiving a message transmitted from another terminal device, makes a display article for making the user confirm visually reception of the message to be displayed in any display mode among a plurality of mutually different display modes.
