<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack capable of effectively preventing fire spreading or heating of a battery, extinguishing ignition of the battery, being constituted compact, and increasing the volume energy density. <P>SOLUTION: A spacer 52 interposed between two or more batteries constituting the battery pack has cavities, a filling agent having fire-extinguishing capability is filled in the cavities, and an opening can be formed, in at least a portion (a low-melting point portion 14) of the spacer 52 by heating so that the filling agent can flow out of the spacer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
