PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform color correction for performing compensation easily by adding constraints, which ensure that RGB gray equivalent is still RGB gray equivalent even after conversion, to color correction parameters since compensation for neutral tints such as a three-dimensional color after a masking matrix operation is excluded in a prior art although there is a technique, such as a proposal number 5511636 using a masking matrix to restrain variations in a print device because of a difference in color materials, machine precision, and aging, and to keep color reproducibility constant. SOLUTION: When conversion coefficients or parameters are generated in a series of processing for converging a color signal and each signal value excluding an achromatic color is gray equivalent, constraints are adapted, where each signal value excluding the achromatic color similarly becomes gray equivalent even after conversion.
