PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection device for a camera which is hardly damaged by static electricity even when a contact for connection is exposed. SOLUTION: The connection device for the camera includes: a contact pin 5 which is provided in a camera main body 100 and moves in linkage with attachment of a lens barrel 50 that can be attached to the camera; a ground contact piece 21 which always conducts with the contact pin 5; and a switch contact piece 22 which is electrically connected to an electric circuit provided in the camera, whose conduction with the ground contact piece 21 is interrupted when the lens barrel 50 is not attached to the camera yet, and which comes in contact with the ground contact piece 21 in linkage with the movement of the contact pin 5 when the lens barrel 50 is attached to the camera. Then, it includes a ground piece 23 which is connected to the ground level of the camera and comes in contact with the ground contact piece 21 when the lens barrel 50 is not attached to the camera, and whose contact with the ground contact piece 21 is interrupted in linkage with the movement of the contact pin 5 when the lens barrel is attached to the camera.
