PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of correcting surely a color shift, and capable of omitting unnecessary color shift detection processing. SOLUTION: This image forming device provided with an opening and closing lid for opening and closing an opening part provided in a device main body, a detecting part for detecting an open state of the opening and closing lid, an execution part for carrying out a prescribed operation when detecting the open state, and a main electric power source part for supplying an electric power source to the execution part, is provided with a holding part for holding an opened history indicating the detection of the open state, when the open state is detected by the detecting part, during the stop of the electric power source supply from the main electric power source part, and a judging part for judging the necessity of an operation by the execution part, based on the presence of the holding of the opened history, when the electric power source is supplied again from the main electric power source part.
