PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer composition which is excellent in the adhesiveness to a metal such as iron or copper and to a plated steel plate prepared by plating the metals, especially galvanized steel plates, which is excellent in the adhesiveness to a top coating film, when a polyamide (nylon) resin is used for the top coating film, and which can especially form a primer coating film excellent in a gasohol properties. SOLUTION: The primer composition comprises (A) a polyamide-imide resin, (B) nylon resin beads, (C) an epoxy resin, (D) a polyol resin, and (E) a curing agent, in amounts of 10 to 30 mass%, 64 to 19 mass%, 10 to 30 mass%, 15 to 1 mass% and 1 to 20 mass%, respectively, based on the total resin content mass of the components (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E).
