PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition imparting an excellent anti-dandruff effect. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the composition comprising (a) 0.01-5 wt.% of zinc-pyrithione based on the total weight of the composition, (b) 0.001-10 wt.% of a zinc-containing layered material based on the total weight of the composition, which provides an augmentation factor greater than 1, and the zinc-containing layered material contains a hydroxy group-containing basic zinc carbonate, and the ratio of the zinc-containing layered material to zinc-pyrithione is 1:2-3:1. The zinc-pyrityione and the zinc-containing layered material provide an augmentation factor preferably greater than 1.3 in combining them in the composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
