PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overlay film which exhibits a strong adhesive strength between a resin layer composed of an ABS resin and a polycarbonate resin and a polycarbonate film constituting the surface layer and yet retains an enough metallic appearance. SOLUTION: The overlay film (a) is obtained by laminating a polycarbonate film 4 on the surface of an ABS resin film 2 containing a metallic pigment with an acrylic adhesive 3. The base material A for resin moldings is obtained by the overlay film (a) on the surface of a resin layer 1 composed of an ABS-based resin, a polycarbonate resin or a mixture resin thereof.
