PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for positioning a chuck of a component, which individually positions chuck jaws so as to accurately chuck the component. SOLUTION: The workpiece W is chucked as follows. The first chuck jaw 11 is moved in X-axis direction by means of a first driving source 14. The second and third chuck jaws 12, 13 are rotatably supported by a first link 18 fixed to the linear motion spindle 15a in a second driving source 15 and second links 20a, 20b attached to the neighborhood of both end portions of the first link 18, and are moved toward the center of the workpiece W along the X1 axis and the X2 axis making±60°to the X axis respectively. The first, second, and third chuck jaws come into contact with the workpiece W via contact portions 11a to 13a. The movable ranges of the second and third chuck jaws 12, 13 are adjusted by means of adjusting means 21a, 21b, and first stoppers 22a, 22b for positioning are provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
