PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a hemming machine and improve workability for maintenance by constituting the machine so as to perform bending on a part of work to be bent by moving a hem punch when bending, without need of a cushion holder and gas spring to support it, and furthermore extend durability by avoiding excess load on the hemming machine. SOLUTION: The hem punch 32 and a slide cam 30 are arranged on a lower die 3. The hem punch 32 is supported in a floating manner against the slide cam 30. A driver cam 50 for the hem punch and a liner 53 are arranged on an upper die 2. The hem punch 32 can be switched between a preliminary bending position and the main bending position by the driver cam 50 for the hem punch. The liner 53 applies forming load on the hem punch 32 at the main bending position. A main bending part 32d of the hem punch 32 applies bending pressure on the part Wa to be bent of the work W, by moving the hem punch 32 provided with the forming load by the liner 53.
